Nortel has been selling on a regular schedule. They probably would have sold more and sooner if the stock was up more.

1.5 million shares is about 10% of the 13.1M share float that Yahoo reports at biz.yahoo.com. There are 62.5M shares outstanding. This is a much lower percentage than the last time Nortel sold a block. It should not have a big effect ... they usually sell these as blocks to institutions rather than dumping the shares on the street.

It should help liquidity a bit. Nortel has to sell sometime...
