The USA TODAY/CNN/Gallup poll's final projection of the outcome for the 2000 presidential election is:

Projection & Monday's results: Bush 48%, Gore 46%, Nader 4%, Buchanan 1%, other 1%. The projection is based on interviews with 3,571 likely voters Sunday and Monday. In order to make the projection, Gallup allocated the "undecided" vote proportionately to the candidates. Actual poll numbers for Monday, which are factored into the projection, had Bush leading Gore, 47%-45%. Monday's figures are based on interviews conducted that day and the previous day.

Monday's six-day average puts Bush ahead of Gore, 47%-44%.
