I see no reason to own these type of companies long term myself. It is my opinion that sattelite will be the end to all ends. I said 2 years ago that AT&T was in for trouble due to the advent and popularity of the internet and a lot of people laughed at me. Sattelite access is a joke right now, but it will improve and the price will come down. When it does, it will be the choice of smart consumers looking for a superior product at a reasonable cost. I figure these DSL, cable, phone, etc lines that are in the ground will someday be ripped from the ground by backhoes repairing sewer and water lines and will NOT be repaired. I am certainly no expert on these companies but I just think long distance is going to become a thing of the past and we will al be better off for it. I can talk to you just as clearly on the internet as on the phone right now whenever we want and not pay a penny for it. You are 1/2 way across the country from me.

Take all that FWIW.
