FOLKS IT'S OBVIOUS THE INVENTORIES ARE TOO HIGH

Sign to Sell Semis?

Someone will point to the high Cisco (CSCO:Nasdaq)
inventories and say that the semiconductors have to
be sold off of it. No disagreement here.
Long Cisco.

FESH,

I think the analysts didn't ask the question on the call so they are making a very presumptuous guess. They have assumed that CSCO will work through the inventory next quarter... CSCO didnt' say this on the call. They have assumed that because of this that the suppliers will see a lean quarter...but no one asked CSCO management if the goal was to work off inventor in one quarter. The fact is that semi demand constraints will exist for at least another 24 months and I would guess that the suppliers will have plenty of business to deal with from CSCO and other customers. The market is overreacting to a few assumptions made by a few analysts that haven't asked anyone the tough question. Just a sign of how the market is working these days... these analysts can't stand to be wrong so they're running around looking for reasons to be right. They will lose the gamble...
