OT, John,

Intel has outlasted another ML 2-2 rated stock, IPET. ML bankers couldn't find anyone to help it achieve the promise of its future.

Have to wonder if some folks are selling Intel/Amd to invest in TMTA? T

[these "facts" and "names" are all made up]

Well, if I am say, Citicorp and I am co-managing this offering and I am getting IPO stock at founders price, 50 cent, or at IPO price, and I have a first deed of trust on all the assets of the company,

then I just might tell SSB, who I own, to chat up some of their clients, to maybe dump some intel, so that they can have some CASH to pop this hot new stock.

Since, I am not covered by 144, I can sell my stock at 43 today for a neat profit of $42.50 times say a million shares in "overallotment" plus the investment banking commissions, plus the commissions on the sale to SSB's clients plus the commissions on the sale of Intel plus the commissions when these same investors have to eventually dump this dog.

I dunno, maybe a couple hundred million to the old bottom line. Not a bad day's work.

My only job is to not foreclose on the first deed of trust for about 6 months.

THIS IS WHAT THE GLASS-STEGALL ACT WAS ENACTED TO PREVENT AFTER THE LAST DEPRESSION. and which congress has just eviscerated.
