I thought it was Charles Schwab Sr. The story goes that he went to his psychiatrist because all of his friends and business associates were wildly bullish yet he couldn't shake the idea that the market was quickly heading to hell in a handbasket. instead of realizing that he might have been right, he assumed he must be crazy.

that is true. he DID consider psychological counseling in '28 when almost everyone told him that his idea of selling sounded like he was getting paranoid. however,as far as i know this effort to change his mind was unsuccessful. the bubble, in his eyes, remained a bubble.
