L, I only invest in volatile stocks and I often see a stock take a quick dive before a large move up. Why are you surprised so surprised? WCII has just made a swing from 66 down to 15 and is on its way up again. Mgmt has said they are comfortable with estimates. The long distance carriers are getting creamed by price competition and the slow but sure migration to VOIP plus they don't have a viable data strategy to compete with the more nimble CLECS. With telecom in the dumps and WCII saying they are comfortable with estimates (i.e. good sequential growth wile most telecom players are showing shrinking revenues), just hitting their 52 week low, why shouldn't they be going up today. If results are good, we should continue up to 30+. If they disappoint, we might see 12.
