Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical Agreements

SAN DIEGO, Nov 8, 2000 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Women First HealthCare, Inc.
(Nasdaq: WFHC) today announced it has received a $5.5 million payment from
Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical, Inc.

The $5.5 million cash receipt represents revenues recorded in the third quarter
2000 under the revised agreements with Ortho-McNeil announced October 17, 2000.
"This cash inflow significantly improves our cash position and the stability of
our financial condition," said Charles M. Caporale, Women First's vice president
and chief financial officer.
