I listened to the CC also...simply put, these were two marketing guys who seemed to know little about the technology.

The only interesting things out of the call was that a Japanese operator was delaying their launch by a couple of months. This is probably NTT Docomo....but since Nokia isnt supplying NTT with infrastructure or even handsets during the initial roll-out it is tough to tell. Also, European operators were actually speeding up their timetables for 3G launch. The Europeans and Japanese were now more in parity.

FWIW....I was completely unimpressed with the two guys and even take the above details with a grain of salt.

SBC - the king has no clothes

Nextel (iden..) - the king has no clothes.

NTT - the king has no clothes (150k in 4 years..)

Any more ego driven rulers out there want to join the list?
