Those drug flights originated in Mena (sp?), Arkansas during then Governor Clinton's administration.

The S&L debacle had mistakes on all sides that I do not think can be squarely placed on Reagan. The lack of regulation was a problem, for sure. I would note that the over-zealousness of the RTC (in closing borderline S&Ls) cost us a ton more than it should have. The RTC was undoubtedly trigger happy.

I won't digress into the Clintons' involvement in Madison Guaranty.
