>>I do not want to be considered a GURU, so I will no longer post my INDEX updates here.<<

Don, I hope that's not the case. I think most of us see the selflessness in you posting your research publicly for all to see. It also gives you the benefit of feedback, most of which is given in a spirit of generosity and respect. I hope you are not swayed from that course by one belligerent fool who has decided to make an @$$ out of himself.

Best Regards,

Paul

Don,

I rarely post here (or anywhere for that matter), but I do use and value highly your INDEX updates as well as your other TA (and dumplin :)) comments. Please do not stop posting here because one inconsiderate jerk decides to drop in and make trouble. Your TA is excellent and right-on.

With high regards,

RB

Don I just wanted to say that, though a lurker, I read your posts everyday. I find your insights very important and appreciated. Coming from a FA, not a TA, perspective it's important for me to hear what TA has to say about the market. Please keep posting. Don't let some clown rock your boat. There are times FA overcomes TA and other times TA's influence will overrun even the best of companies. It's important to have threads such as this that give us another, important, view point. Thanks again for all of your effort.

p.s. I find your daily updates the most enlightening of all. Excellent to hear your thoughts.

In the name of all those silent lurkers like me (I hope not to be too pretentious ), not enough connoisseur or simply not willing to post here not to overload this high quality thread, just to say Don: WE LOVE your INDEX UPDATES.

I & many others silent readers/admirers would be desperate if you cease posting these updates. THANK YOU.

Hi, I really enjoy SI, I trade during the day and feel as though it is my job and I stop at certain threads to see what my computer friends r saying.I have seen recently a bunch of idiots trying to ruffle the feathers of certain SI members. In every job you have the people you don't get along with and in your mind you must put them on ignore.I for one love stopping buy Stock Attack and reading your free and very informative info. Tell the jerk to do his own DD and stop reading you, I will continue to do My own DD and use your information too. Please continue with this thread, as alot of us enjoy what you do.

Don, you wrote: "so I will no longer post my INDEX updates here."

I'd like you to reconsider this decision of "Not posting your index update on SI"

Many people here read your posts viewed as very objective interventions.

If you don't post anymore, you'll deprive us (fellow investors) with what I would call: "one of the most reliable opinion on market movements".

Please reconsider, and forget about some people among us who cannot support being second!

And if you don't change you position on this issue, please send me a PM telling me where you'll be posting thereafter

Faro who never thought you imposed yourself as a Market GURU

Donald Sew, you are an invaluable resource! Please continue to post "index updates" here. I read them daily. Of course, I hope you wouldn't mind if I also chime in with buy/sell recommendations on major stocks/indices. A lone person saying buy can't really pump up a major stock/index, can it ?

Also, if you go back and check, I told dennis patterson about my simple method of trading. As I posted earlier, I don't own csco, and I wasn't talking about 1-3 point moves.

Donald, here's a good time to keep your last name in mind, and say sssooooooo what. {Unless it's pronounced "sue", then sue his butt ;^).}There will always be somebody who comes in with something to say about your posts. Big deal. Let them go. I would not let them dissuade me from posting at all. Do your thing. Talk with those who want substantive discussions. As some eastern philosopher said, do your duty with faith in God, without attachment to the fruit of the action. No, I am not calling the guy a fruit. Regards and post on.

Don Sew's index updates:

He didn't post one last night, but Don usually posts his updates at marketswing.com

Click on "index updates"

Lee also posts excellent work on that site ("L3's charts").

Come back, Don!!! You are valued both as a friend and fellow technician. But not as a guru. ;-) I should add that in our disagreements, Don's usually right, so maybe I should make him my own guru. <ggg>

Donald--

I've been reading your INDEX UPDATES for the past couple of years. I find your vision very useful. I combine it with a couple other opinions and my own chart analysis. I've learned a lot from your posts.

I know you get flack from people occasionally, but for every impolite soul, there are hundreds of others who consider your work a great service.

It would be nice if you could continue posting both your comments and INDEX UPDATE on SI...

Don,
For every person like idg, there are dozens of others who have great respect for your contributions to market analysis. I personally have learned a great deal from your posts on this thread. I want to see you posting again, soon. I set up my system to ignore idg. He contributed nothing positive, and he irritated the h*&& out of me.

Don, I don't particularly like dumplings ...

But I do enjoy your views of where things are at. Further, I appreciate the effort that you expend and the time you take.

Clearly, you have put yourself on the line on a regular basis, over a prolonged period of time. Don, ignore the A**holes of the world or you will unreasonably raise your blood pressure. I believe that the "Ignore" button is one of the most useful tools that SI created.

Hey Don,

I know you from my very first days here on SI (1997) and I was really happy to find you here again when I realized you were still here and fresher than ever when I returned this spring. Don't go away now. This is much more than exchanging opinions, we share something personal here. There are always stupid people everywhere - full stop. And that's also why we should hold together here!

Alles Liebe

Donald,

I am one of hundreds, perhaps, thousands of silent traders who impatiently wait and study every message of yours, especially index updates.

You are not aware of our presence because we never "speak it up". You are respected, admired and looked up to.

WE NEED YOU.

Talented people always attract attention of all kinds of users, stupid individuals and so on... These people are moved by their own feelings of inadequacy and would love to pull everybody down to their own level..

Please disregard their envious and aggressive presence.

WE WANT TO HEAR YOU.
