At least in California, the law is clear that so long as you are in line by 8:00, you are entitled to vote.

Re: actually having a poll closing time. Hey, what about the kids that will turn 18 tomorrow, not very inclusive keeping them out of the vote. Can't we just bend the rules a little. Sheeesh!
