No, I have never bagged a deer with a rifle, shotgun, or handgun. However, the fact remains that a manual-action rifle will not fit in my glove compartment or bedside table drawer. Are you going to base legality on how inconvenient it is to fire a given weapon? Every male over 18 in Switzerland is issued an automatic machine-gun. Last time I checked they weren't exactly a hotbed of violent crime. It's education, not the weapon itself.
