Steve,

"A BUSH guy got on NBC and complained that their Florida projections were way off, with parts of Florida in the Central Time zone, and absentee ballots not counted yet"

I saw that, I think the Bush guy was Karl Rove, the head of the campaign. When he complained, pretty politely to Bernie about their early call (which could affect things out west here, frankly) Bernie was pretty curt in explaining how CNN "did things" as if it were written in stone. If I had been Rove I would have chewed on Bernie pretty good on the simple issue that it's CNN's job to report the news, not jump the gun and possibly affect a very good election. I now hear(11:03 EST) that Bush has a 4 percent lead in Florida.

I personally find it hard to contemplate having Al & Tipper as Prez and 1st (on the other hand, I have no difficulty with a Bush presidency and Barbra Streisand and Alec Baldwin taking up exile in, say, Burkina Faso).

Go, George.
