The following snipet is from the Zoox release regarding their new switch. It is interesting in that BRCD is apparently not a technology leader driving the 2 gig standard. However, Q which is a Zoox competitor is one of those technology leaders. Interesting snub on BRCD. "Technology leaders such as Gadzoox Networks, Agilent, Compaq Computer Corporation, Emulex, JNI, QLogic and Veritas are driving development of 2Gb technology, which not only promises to solve growing performance requirements, but also enables intelligent and interoperable products."
