Resource meter ...

Windows allocates a small, non-stretchable, bit of memory to keep track of internal (to Windows) stuff. When this memory fills, your luck runs out. To help users believe that the mess resulting in this design flaw is their fault, and not something they should be hopping mad at Microsoft over, Windows comes with Resource Meter, to warn of impending doom. SO --- keep an eye on these values. If resources run low and you don't notice, it's your fault. Never mind that a machine with a quarter-gig of memory has the same resources as glorified pocket calculator: Live with the restriction(s) or upgrade to Windows 2000.

Cheers, PW.
