sure glad that I did not stay up last night waiting for a resolution to the election

it "appears" that Gore will win the popular vote by a miniscule 200-300,000 votes (235,000 at the moment) while Bush could/might/will win the electoral vote
most people both here and around the world don't understand this; one must assume that the electoral issue will be under discussion for a long time to come

the vote in florida is for Bush by less than 1000 votes
so much for saying that our individual vote means little

Nader mucked this whole thing up for one or the other depending on your perspective
while he did poorly and wont get close to the 5% needed for Federal funds he clearly cost Gore the election in a
number of states

it is sad that the entire election may well end up in the courts in Florida will all the muck racking that goes with that

both camps must be second guessing every single thing they did as a minor change here or there could have been the swing

this is really great if you like suspense

the market will be interesting while this goes forward
it was laughable last night
as the first few states came in for Bush MSFT popped over 2 points; today might be a kick to watch it and/or swing trade it long + short

I personally hope Gore wins ONLY so that we will have gridlock in Washington; I honestly fear that one party in all houses is not the best for the country
although the Senate might end up 50/50, what a hoot
will be an interesting few days-what fun

PS:
in Missouri a dead man won the senate seat
ain't that somehing

PSS to Larry:
I DID NOT VOTE FOR TEDDY
will be glad to trade him to you for Hillary and will toss in 500 shares of BREX for good measure
