I agree; it's not money in the bank.

Stocks change, and to avoid financial
ruin, you have to change with them.

When someone says they are in it "for
the long term", I usually ask them how
much that stock is down from their
purchase price.

The _last_ person I would try to give
advice to though is my Mother-in-law.
Whenever I'm asked if I'm married, I
reply: "married, yes.. with the lumps
on the back of my head to prove it."
