Tom ..

Assuming that the Gore popular victory is upheld
and that Bush wins Florida, we could have a
situation where the 'unbound' electors could
vote their conscience on Dec 18th and support
the winner of the popular vote .. or not ..

My two cents on the recount in Florida.

If I remember correctly, there are were over 2,500 mail in votes in FL that are not actually due until ten days after the election. After the recount (and there are ALWAYS errors) these votes could change the winner again. There is just no way to really know.

I was up all night watching this unfold. I wish I had known you guys were online. Truly a once in a lifetime experience, and it's not over yet.

BTW, still short ENTU, HOMS and long VRSN, ICGE, CMGI and CATS.
