Maybe JLA could weigh in here, but my guess is that Florida law would have no bearing if a federal judge ruled the polls should stay open.

I have no idea whether the precincts at stake tended to vote for Republicans or Democrats. Regardless, democracy should operate on the presumption that lawful voters be given the benefit of the doubt. Count 'em.

jttmab, That was in Missouri. The 2 campaigns were in court yesterday regarding the poll closing times. It didn't matter to whoever was running the show since the polls were left open, in defiance of the appellate court ruling.

In FLA, it was reported that the missing ballot boxes were actually still collecting votes in Gore country in Southeast FLA...

Interesting stuff.
