I'm not so sure about the popular vote going to Gore when all is said and done. There are a lot of absentee ballots to count in several states. Also, I'm wondering about the numbers in PA. Rove was on the money when he said Florida was in the Bush column. He seemed to think PA might be in doubt as well. May be a lot closer there than currently thought. JLA

Once a President is in there (especially when its Bush with freindly Congress) he'll do whatever he wants to do.

He can do whatever he wants but he can't pass legislation by himself. The Democrats can use the filibuster rule (60% to cut off debate) to kill tax cuts, partial birth abortion ban, social security change etc. They can do this with impunity because a majority of the voters voter in favor or Gore's policies. There will be no legislative honeymoon for Bush. The stakes are too high. Remember, there was no honeymoon accorded to Clinton.
