I can't see a Constitutional amendment coming out of this but we'll probably see a bunch of states copying Nebraska (and Maine?) and dumping the winner takes all rule.

There is no basis for legal challenge of the electoral college. It's in the constitution. But there definitely will be a strong movement to amend the constitution, if Bush ends up as the president. A president that garnered fewer votes than his rival does not have the moral authority to govern IMO, in the 21st century. Imagine what some of the newly democratic nations will think of us.
