on absentee ballots.....my unit received their absentee ballots two weeks after the election in 1968 when I was in Vietnam. In a bizarre moment of defiance,I still voted for Humphrey....and no I'm not crazy...just from Minnesota.

<<KG4-Bottom line is that every vote counts, and that each vote must be counted correctly, and with a vote this close the absentee ballots need to be counted, which very well could take a few days. What do you want, a quick decision or the right decision.>>

No, I like you want the right decision...read my posts...I don't care, gore or bush, let'm arm wrestle at this point. My whole point is the system is flawed, not that I want either bush or gore, or want anything done in an unfair manner. But you must admitt, the system could be alot better to avoid all this. There should not have been the confusion in florida. Period. This is the biggest event in our country and they can't get the ballots right so folks could understand who they were voting for???? Oversea's ballots that may decide the fate of the country not arriving until ten days after the election??? States given to one candidate, pulled from him and given to the other, only to be pulled again with it being given to nobody???? Candidates contesting results??? A president that lost the popular vote, but is still elected...

I want everything to be fair for either guy. My whole point is this should be a done deal by now. We are the USA. It is the year 2000. This fiasco should not be happening....either bush or gore should be winner, simple as that. My problem is with the system that allowed this FUD to happen. It should be, and could be better...we as americans deserve better.
