I agree. But this time this particular mistake changed the result of the entire election. Bush won Florida and, therefore, the presidency, by fewer votes than cast for Buchanan in Palm Beach county. By the way, Republicans are not to blame for the ballot design. The issue is not who to blame. The issue is that the will of the people has apparently been distorted. By the way, if the absentee ballots result in a Bush margin of victory greater than the Buchanan vote count in Palm Beach within a couple of hundred votes (what Buchanan was expected to get normally), I will be happy.
