"AMD will probably always have some infrastructure hangup or other, but I still think the situation is amazingly better than a year ago, when ASUS wouldn't admit they had an Athlon board."

I agree...The nature of the business is to tackle the next hurdle...and AMD's performance over the past 12 months in this regard, in a relative sense, has been outstanding...allowing them to not only enter the mid and high end PC spaces but to offer the superior price/performance product in both spaces...all the while strengthening relationships with many large infrastructure players as evidenced by the support for the recent evolutionary memory product, DDR...I would also suspect major technological inroads have been made by AMD in the mobile and server spaces, details of which might become more available next week at Comdex...AMD, unlike its competitors it seems, chooses to announce products they can produce rather than ideas about products that they think they can produce...A world of difference in approach...Personally I favour AMD's...
