``There is no doubt there was mass confusion in Palm Beach County that resulted in at least 3,000 votes for Pat Buchanan,'' Representative Robert Wexler, a Florida Democrat, said in an interview broadcast this morning on CNN. Wexler said some voters in his district ``came out crying and came out in total hysteria, thinking they voted for Buchanan'' instead of Gore. That's because the county printed the Reform Party candidate's name below Bush's on the ballot, instead of listing Gore second, Wexler said. Many of these voters ``are senior citizens who are Jewish'' and it's ``inconceivable'' that they would vote for Buchanan, he said. ``We received a number of complaints,'' Butterworth told CNN. ``We will not know that until we examine all the returns.'' quote.bloomberg.com
