Michael,
Gore had no choice about waiting for the Florida recount -- state law mandates a recount when less than 0.5% separates the candidates. Currently 0.028% separates the candidates, according to the current figures on voter.com. Just amazing. Not only could the Nader 2% have swung the election, the Socialist Worker's Party vote could have swung the election!

Anyway, Gore had to withdraw his concession. The recount wasn't his choice.
