Can U say Jimmy Carter...It took Reagan and Bush 12 years to straighten out that mess...Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton have done more for the Republican party than anyone in the last 50 years.

I find that a more comfortable situation as well though how productive it is remains a question. On the other hand the Democrats have enjoyed the situation you outline many times over the last 50 years. The last time the Republicans had it was during the Eisenhower administration shortly after WWII.
