Point out a previous post in which you have railed against the Electoral College.

We preach democracy to the world. Then we select a President who finished second in the popular vote. Thus, the US looks less than credible.

It's no less credible than is has been for the past 220 years.

Maybe it's time to stop browbeating other countries.

<We preach democracy to the world. Then we select a President who finished second in the popular vote. Thus, the US looks less than credible. The rules should be changed so that it doesn't happen again. The next time it happens, the result could easily be otherwise.>

Well we have look thus several times over the last 200 years. From our history, history of immigration, and role as a world leader, the electoral college seems to have done little to diminish our standing. It's how we do it and those outside of our borders who disapprove, will just have to get used to it.
