Bush Clings to Narrow Lead Over Gore in Oregon WIRE:11/08/2000 13:29:00 ET PORTLAND, Ore. (Reuters) - Republican George W. Bush clung to a narrow lead over Democrat Al Gore in Oregon on Wednesday as vote-counting passed the 80 percent mark in the only state to do its balloting by mail. With 81 percent of Oregon"s precincts tallied, officials said Bush had 48 percent of the vote, Gore 46 percent and Green Party candidate Ralph Nader, five percent.
