Indeed, this crap about "I didn't realize I was voting for Buchanan" doesn't fly.

Was watching 60 Minutes Sunday and Andy Rooney had a great point...basically said that people who are uninformed shouldn't be encouraged to vote. Their uninformed votes cancel out the votes of people who actually understand what the hell is going on.

Bottom line, if you can't even follow an election ballot properly, you're too stupid to have a voice in who runs government. Stupidity can never be used as a defense in court, and so why should it be an alibi if you were too dumb to properly read a ballot.
