Your point was overstated, imo. I'm sure SOME older people had trouble with the ballots. To say that they were "potentially impossible" to understand is a bit of a stretch. I guess they were potentially possible to understand also, right?. I did see the ballots on tv, and can see how it has become a controversy, but the arguments I've seen that it was put together by a democrat, and nobody complained about the sample ballots put the issue to rest for me (correct me if these facts are wrong).

Finally, your comment that "the majority of 70+ year olds have either decreased mental or physical capacities" indicates that you do not hold that group in very high esteem. I would guess that your statement is technically correct, because nearly all people over 70 are less robust physically than they were when they were younger, but we are not talking about winning on the PGA tour, we are talking about filling in a circle at the end of an arrow. Are you arguing that over 50% (majority) are incapable of this?
