I am afraid that a drop in the dollar will not be enough for a real gold bull (as opposed to a brief bounce)

We need a SHARP AND SUSTAINED bear market in the dollar. Either that or some kind of left field event that severely shakes confidence in the system. Something like an atom bomb going off on Wall Street. Or the failure of a major money market fund.

I kind of like the money market fund scenario. These are supposed to be ultra safe; if one was to break the buck that would damage confidence much more the NAZ debacle.
