Cuban emigrees are very conservative politically. They have lived unhappily under socialism, and their politics is reactionary in the true sense of the word. Does the name "Balint Vazsonyi" ring a bell? Quite a few Cubans are as right-wing as Vazsonyi. Many of the early emigrees were supporters of the Battiste regime.
