You know, in the end, all the techniques and methods can't help a trader unless he is disciplined, but it's more than that. It's simple logic. If something is falling fast, why go long? If something is moving up like a rocket, why short it? If a person cannot grasp this concept, then they are in the market for reasons other than making money, and when they lose, they shouldn't complain.
