I believe this "recount" will most likely produce no change in the result since they rarely do. But, correct me if I am wrong, this recount has nothing to do with the Palm Beach ballot, which is another issue entirely...and that is where the real donnybrook starts.

Another irony is that the ballot, according to Palm Beach, was designed that way specifically for the elderly. They would have normally had a single text column but decided to go to larger print so the elderly could read it more easily.

On the recount, if the recount does change, it would likely be due to the abandoned ballot box which we don't know very much about, i.e., whether it had any ballots inside.

One of the old foggies said last night that she intended to vote for Gore and "Al Lieberman".
