I agree with you about the tobacco verdicts, and am dubious about these potential voting cases. I've seen more questionable and even frivolous lawsuits than you, I'll bet. And they don't do anything to enhance the standing of the profession.

I thought I heard that those ballets weren't actually approved anyway and had been used by mistake or some such thing? If that's true, then it doesn't matter what anyone thinks about how fair they were or not.
