Who's to say that Gore gets his votes anyway.

You are kidding aren't you? Who do you think would have gotten Nader's votes? Barney the Dinosaur? Ideologically, Nader is a lot closer to Gore than Bush. And besides, all Gore would have needed was fewer than 3% of the Nader vote.

Exit polling of Nader voters clearly indicated that a chunk of them would have gone with Gore had Nader not been on the ballot.

Besides, what does Perot in '92 have to do with Nader in '00. In '92, Perot was a populist with a theme similar to Clinton's. The Perot of '00 would have cost GW but not the one of '92.
