VG, good post. What are the storm clouds on the horizon, as you see them?

(OT) VG- You mean "Landslide" George?

Here is an item I posted on the GEORGE BUSH thread.

To: My Successor

Congratulations on your victory. My bequest to
you is the best economy that any of us has ever
known, a testament either to the righteousness
of my policies or my exquisitely fortuitous
timing. (We'll let history sort that one out.)

In any case, here's your first top-secret briefing
as president-elect: The good times probably
won't last.

Do you think that tech stocks down drug stocks up is more
revealing.

"It's more likely the Nasdaq is down on uncertainty."

Maybe, but I think the NASDAQ is just moving downward because it is grossly overvalued. Just look at the big-cap NASDAQ stocks like CSCO and AOL and you can see that there is plenty of downside left in this index. And it's not just that it's currently overvalued. We are still moving down from an absurd high of 5000. Remember that excessive overvaluations are always followed by excessive undervaluations, and you won't be surprised when NASDAQ dips to 1500 before year end.

Of course there will be wild upspikes during the decline. The smart money will be selling on those spikes.
