RE:"I don't think this election has told anyone anything about what the US people want, other than they don't (as a whole) seem to know what they want. Which isn't surprising considering both candidates aren't separated by too much"

Brilliant analysis Steve! LOL...

Jim

Actually, it tells me the US is on the verge of being a welfare state going down a path of no return...

Steve,

both candidates aren't separated by too much.

Their environmental beliefs are worlds apart.

Steve,

All the pre-election statistical models relating U.S. election results to the health of the economy, etc. showed the results to be a landslide for Gore (up by at least 10% popular vote). If Bush wins, this was a major upset. Read whatever you want into why it occurred.

There are major differences between the candidates, but from your perspective you might not be able to recognize them. It could be caused by the "I'm a (substitute a racial/ethnic/species group here) and all (substitute a different racial/ethnic/species group here) look alike to me" effect.

Dave

</delurk>,

I think they are very different in their view of how this country should be governed the future......granted the difference is subtle. I think they are separated by more than you see but I think during elections just by their very nature, candidates give the appearance of being more moderate.

Lets put it this way, </delurk>, Bush is your kind of guy!

Long time, no hear......business keeping you busy?
