Ten and Jim, I think it's pretty obvious that there was something wrong with the ballot. The proof is in the fact that an unusually high number of voters made a mistake, and inadvertently voted for the wrong candidate. These things should be designed for anyone to use. Your suggestion that because you can figure out a ballot, and because someone else can't, their vote shouldn't count, is intellectual bigotry. Whatever went wrong should be corrected in the next election. But to send a Presidential election into the courts is equally bad. Especially with a record turnout, this is going to erode confidence in the process. Bush ought to back off, but it doesn't look as if he will. This election could change all future elections. Do we really want the local courts to decide what candidates win? I would rather see a little stupidity on the part of election officials, even a little corruption. John
