In Europe, the U.S. are already losing their credibility; and especially the recent election is being compared to elections in yugoslavia by some right wingers.

...motivation unclear but this uncertainty shies away foreign (European) investors from the States....why don't they get thier act together?

Most European states have a proportional election system; that means that the winner does not take it all (the electoral votes) but the will of the people is more properly respected in European countries as a result of a more adequate election system.

Any lawsuits will be moot. Gore will concede if the recount shows he lost.

Regards
Jay

surfing the news tonight it appears folks are giving Gore the recount time up to 5pm Thursday. and maybe absentee ballots but if they are not bring the spread closer it seems they seemed to think Gore should cave in. Not good for him or country to prolong it. One example they gave was the senator who would not contest wife taking seat.
