Well, I gotta laugh at this plasterer seeing the bust of Christ. Good recognition memory, I guess. I still remember some faces I used to know, although I tend to forget the names--as well as how much money they owe me.

So this plasterer knew Jesus to see him? He is positive it wasn't Allah, or Buddha??

It is funny that Jesus is always depicted in long hair. The bible is clear that God hates long hair with a passion; But when people see Jesus, they never see the clean cut young man that He would have had to have been...

Of the thousands of reasons I have for my 100% disbelief in the bible, one of them is the Egyptian people turning the river into blood, and also making frogs out of nothing. I simply do not believe that these people turned a river of water into blood. Blood has all kinds of constituents. How would these people have turned water into blood?

How would they have made frogs? How could such an incredible science as this have escaped commentary except in one person's story?? Why is there no independent evidence of this kind of advanced science? How many centuries did they have these abilities? Where did the knowledge go?

These were not even God's people. Like God, they believed in slavery, but they had their own self interest as God had His. Did God assist them to develop this advanced science? Or did he merely permit them to advance to this level on their own?

None of the contemporaneous examples of technology and science show any correspondence to these abilities that make modern man, with all his incredible achievements, a mere piker. How could this kind of incredible intelligence and knowledge exist alongside of slavery, cruelty, and asses for transportation. They had no engines, no pumps, no microwave ovens...yet they could turn rivers of water into blood, and they could create life in the form of millions of frogs. Now, they were unable to make lice; Lice are clearly more difficult to make than frogs--but WHY??

Well, this is just one out of thousands of biblical stories told by God, that leave me with no alternative to disbelief other than drilling a hole in my head, and sucking out everything inside (might be nothing), and then sitting in a catatonic state until somebody finds me and steals my wallet.

Another problem I have is with evolution. I should have two eyes on each side of my head, with my brain bringing the images together and creating a 360 degree representation. Nothing strange about this. I can see 180 degrees. 185 would be slightly better. 190 better still. 193? GREAT! (give me some feathers and I will really kick ass!)

Since time began, most death from enemies can be attributed to a deficiency of sensory awareness. We tend to be smug about Creationist opposition to evolution (mainly because it is truly ridiculous), but we ought not to lose sight of the mysteries and wonder that plague our hubris. I really don't think we have all the answers. Do you?

I recognize there are evolutionary responses to everything, but I think it needs to be insisted that they keep trying to perfect these responses. There is no way they are adequate yet to explain this world...not in the largest perspective.
