Paul, of course fundamental changes will impact technicals. However, as far as I am concerned, whether Bush or Gore are finally declared winners, the outcome of the elections is one of the best the market could hope for. Whomever is declared President will have to step "softly" for a little while, and no major directional changes is what the market needs.

I am much more concerned about the evolving financial crisis in Korea and the rest of SE Asia, but I do not think that the impact will be felt in a serious manner until after year end. I may be wrong, and if more in the investment community start and see these developments as I do, the market may start its main bear trip down ("Scheduled" for next January <g>) earlier than I thought.

In my post to Bernie, I outlined what I believe to be a more probable scenario, and that is a turn back up from here to 3650.

My guess - they may run this up before earnings then KILL it.

Let me know when earnings is.
