Ted,

Junior George is the most unqualified major party candidate I've seen since George McGovern. How on earth did he get elected?

Ted,

Last nite, with the exception of Steve, you wanted to get rid of the electoral college, and now, the threat of being nuked would not encourage you all to give it up.

Where did I say I wanted to get rid of electoral college? It turned Gore into a pro-gun candidate. <g>

Ted,

You didn't see me blasting the electoral college last night. Never have - never will. Why? I've always lived in low population states - fly-over country. If it wasn't for the electoral college, candidates would never bother to visit places that I live. They would spend all their time in states that abut really large bodies of water.

So stop your whining. It isn't over yet. Won't be until Gore gives his "public" concession speech. Also have you noticed that the popular vote gap has closed significantly since this morning? There may not be a "crossed" election when it is all over.

Dave

I might support getting rid of the electoral college but it should not be done retroactively. The two candidates
ran according to a certain set of rules and those rules should determine the winner. Actually since its a constitutional requirement it can't be changed retroactively and it would take a big push to have it changed for the next election.
