I think you are right on!

All of it has to apply to the context each own's level of risk, time frame, and comfort.

There is a lot to pick and chose from.
It's like a huge flea market of ideas.
Much of it could be considered worthless by many, but there is something to suit each of us.
The trick is to find something (an idea) that you like at a cheap price.
Then hopefully it doesn't become something you regret later like a used plaque of a trophy bass or a lamp made out of bottle caps, that you realize when you get home, that it just doesn't fit your style...

There is a lot out there to pick and chose from.
Something for every one.
