Scumbria your WRONG.. Alaska gets 3/536 or 0.56% of the electorial college(the Bare Bones Min.). If it was based on pure population it would be pointless for Alaska to vote.

CA is 55/536 or 10.26% of the electorial college
FL is 25/536 or 4.66% of E.C.

The candidates would NOT even bother going to the small states if it weren't for the E.C. They would just hit all the big Metro's. This insures the Candidates visit every state so the people can see them.

If Bush wins it's because of winning the Popular vote in the Majority of States not the overall total.

STATES should have a least a Minimum vote of 3.

Just like each state has 2 Senators to level the playing field in the Senate.

The ForeFathers were very smart for the times.

It's a Representative Government not a Populous Government.
