On the other hand, Gore appears to be the candidate who would enable many more Americans to take a role in our capitalist system of business and the economy, allowing a wider distribution of wealth and wider access to the equity markets. That tens to be the nature of his targeted tax cuts which, for example, encourage higher education and allow families to keep a little more of their income in the face of rapidly increasing higher education costs.

As for R&D, a Bush win may not help R&D in renewable and other alternative cleaner energy technologies. The environment, also, may continue to play an increasing role in the health of our population, and obviously the world population.

Lastly, I think many people here really overestimate the effect of the administration on the DOJ vs. Microsoft case, and others like it (I own shares of MSFT). I wonder who Bill Gates voted for.
