<<Gore won the popular vote in the most populist states in the union, but only by a 200,000 share margin.>>

A majority is a majority Ron.....I shant say that Bush "only" won Fla by 1700 votes so it isn't important ....

<<More importantly, Bush won 29 states compared to 20 for Gore and that should be a greater issue>>

Oh please these states are only separated by arbitrary boundaries and the states he won were smaller in population thus importance.....

Having said the above I believe that the delegates should vote the way the election dictates.......You don't change the rules if the outcome doesn't suit you.

But it might be interesting to note that according to Mark Sheilds on PBS tonight The bush people had a legal plan for contesting the results if he had been the winner of the popular vote and the loser in the electoral .......tst,tst.....What a bunch of hypocrites we gonna have inna White House..
