Well, yeah, that's pretty much what I'm saying. What's wrong with getting receivables off the books if you can do it for a good price? Companies pretty up their balance sheets all the time.

What can be more deceptive than attempting to withhold pertinent financial information from a buyer?

Look, I agree they could have been more forthcoming about it, but they didn't necessarily "withhold pertinent financial information." Selling receivables to a bank is perfectly legal and done all the time. It's not as though they cooked the books or anything.
